Along with salt content, pH is the most important parameter in plant nutrition. The absorption of nutrients by plants depends very much on the pH value:

pH values that are too low block the nutrient absorption of main nutrients such as phosphorus and potassium

pH values that are too high prevent the absorption of trace elements, e.g. B. Iron (iron chlorosis!)

For this reason, quick, easy and accurate pH value measurements are essential in production horticulture. The pH 5000 ideally meets all the requirements of a pH measuring device for use in soil analysis. It is specifically designed to meet the needs of on-site measurement in horticulture. The housing of the basic device is robust, insensitive to temperature and offers optimal protection against moisture and humidity. The newly developed puncture pH electrode with a special membrane as a sensor can withstand even the enormous demands of direct measurement. Three ceramic diaphragms guarantee a short response time, prevent the diaphragms from clogging quickly and ensure long-term use of the electrode.

Of course, the pH 5000 cannot only be used for direct measurement in the soil or substrate: measuring water and fertilizer solutions is also possible.

The pH 5000 is calibrated automatically. For a 2-point calibration, the cleaned and dried electrode is immersed in a pH buffer of 7.0. The device recognizes the buffer; if the measured value is stable, the electrode is removed, cleaned and immersed in a pH buffer of 4.0. The device automatically recognizes the end of the respective calibration.

A “l(fā)ow-bat” display warns of insufficient battery power during measurement.

The device is delivered in a sturdy aluminum case for transport and proper storage.
